Vorti-SEP, now IntelliFluxWhat is it?
Previously, WPE offered Vorti-SEP, a three-phase mechanical separator specifically designed for oil and gas production environments and refineries. Originally, this technology was pre-packaged for rapid and cost effective deployment, for the recovery & upgrading of oil products. Currently by incorporating remote monitoring and controls, WPE are providing a proprietary control system called IntelliFlux, which is designed to self-optimize the trans-membrane pressure, backwashing and cleaning while maintaining the target throughput through active management of the Vorti-SEP pre-treatment stage and the membrane cleaning cycle. This automated system works with both ceramic and polymeric membranes of all types, including MF, NF, UF and RO, and allows the users to experience the benefits of reduced footprint and energy savings. Depending on application, the flux ranges from 20 lmh/bar to 150 lmh/bar and water recovery rates are as high as 90%. These have been applied for a number of applications such as treatment of different mining process water, biodiesel water and wastewater. 0.5% of solids can be handled by these systems, otherwise separation tanks are incorporated into the system. As of January 2020, Water Planet is no longer operating. IntelliFlux Controls continues to be operating as a separate entity.Website
